In a Visual Analogue Scale assessment (VAS – a widely used measurement tool) of patient pain, this graph indicates how patients worst pain was experienced preoperatively, but was significantly reduced by 40% one week post-op. From 3 to 6 months post-op, patients were only experiencing one third of the initial pain.
